General Sales Terms and Conditions

Read these sales terms and conditions carefully before ordering any products on our site.
These sales terms and conditions tell you in detail how we make our products available to you, how the contract can be cancelled at your and at our initiative, what you should do in the event of a problem. If you do not accept these sales terms and conditions, you should not order products on our website.

These general sales terms and conditions apply between any natural or legal person wanting to acquire any products on the website (hereafter "the customer") and the company "MANUFACTURE DE POTERIE JARS", SAS with head office in Anneyron (26140) at 1230 route du creux de la Thine, with capital of €1,000,000 and registered with the Romans RCS with number 435 680 327.

The applicable prices are those given on the marketing website for each product. They are similar to the prices generally given in the physical sales points. They are given VAT included, the VAT applicable on the day of issuing the order prevailing. A change of this rate can be passed on to the products at any time. Moreover, Manufacture Jars reserves the right to change its prices at any time, the prices applicable being those in force at the time of order confirmation. The prices do not include the costs od shipping and delivery.

The customer should follow various steps before order confirmation. They should register on the website, or login if already registered. Then, having selected the wanted articles, the customer chooses the delivery method, to home or in a relay point (see delivery section for these methods). The last step is comprised of the confirmation and payment of the order. Order confirmation implies acceptance of all these general sales terms and conditions, as well as due payment of the product price.

The products for sale are those presented on the French website They are accompanied with a precise description and a photo. Jars strives to be as faithful as possible on the quality of the photo, however, it can happen that it differs slightly from the reality, especially for the colours.
Only the products shown in the e-shop can be ordered, the delivery time will be specified on the product page. However, some errors may arise. If these are to the disadvantage of the customer, they will be notified as soon as possible.

Jars uses the service of KHUNE NAGEL and LA POSTE for all its shipments related to the website

Packages are generally shipped in 3 business days (not weekends, public holidays, festival period and summer closing).
The shipping costs are 6.90 euro for Metropolitan France and 14.90 euro for Corsica.
The shipping costs for Europe (Benelux, Germany, Italy, Spain, Monaco, Austria*) are 9.90 euro.

The shipping costs include the preparation and packaging costs as well as the carriage costs. We recommend you group all your articles in a single order. We cannot group two orders placed separately and the shipping costs then apply to each of them.
The customer can trach their package from the time they receive notice of shipping.
In France, deliveries can be made in 3 to 5 business days (unless stated otherwise) from issuing the order.

The delivery time essentially depends on the carrier and JARS cannot guarantee to the Customer a precise time. Also during festival periods, summer closing, this time is liable to be extended.
The customer is asked to check, as far as possible, the condition of the package and its contents in the presence of the carrier. If the product is damaged, the customer must mention any anomaly on the delivery note, refuse the delivery and must notify Jars within 24 hours.
If the received product does not correspond with that ordered, the customer can firstly notify us and then send the package back to us. We will refund them the return costs and we will send them the correct product as soon as possible.
If more than 30 days pass after issuing the order before receiving the package, the customer can cancel the contract made with Jars and be refunded with no penalty.
If the received product does not correspond with the customer's expectations, please send, within 14 days from receipt of the package, a message using the form here stating the reason for the return (change of mind or withdrawal, preparation error, faulty product). The methods and refunding of the initial shipping costs are not the same depending on the reason.

*We do not deliver to the Balearic islands, the Canary islands and the Italian islands.

Payment can be made only by bank card (CB, Visa, Mastercard, American Express) and Paypal.
For cards, Jars uses the PayPlug payment platform of the Banque Populaire. All data transfers and data are secured with SSL encryption (Security Socket Layer). This data is not saved at any time on the Jars platform.

The customer has 14 days from receipt of the order to withdraw. They must do this using our withdrawal form here and choose the subject of the request "product return". The product must be sent back in perfect condition in its original packaging with a copy of the invoice to the following address:

Counting from receipt of the package, if the article is in perfect condition, the customer is refunded in 30 days and directly on the card used for the payment, with no penalty except for the invoiced shipping costs and the return costs. Returns made collect or against reimbursement are not accepted.

Products sold on the website comply with the regulations in force in France and have performance compatible with non-professional usage. They are produced by artisanal means.
The products supplied by the vendor legally benefit, without additional payment, separate from the right of withdrawal, according to the legal provisions, from the following:
- the legal guarantee of conformity, for products that are apparently faulty, spoiled or damaged or do not correspond with the order,
- the legal guarantee against hidden defects arising from a fault of material, design or manufacture affecting the delivered products and making them unfit for their use,

If the product is defective for use, the customer can contact Jars for a study of the problem by the quality department. If the problem comes under the warranty, the package can be sent back to the following address with a copy of the invoice. The return costs are refunded.

Jars will send to the customer an identical product as soon as possible (subject to stock availability).
Prohibition of non-network sales.
Jars products are an integral part of a distribution network and are not intended to leave it. Therefore it is prohibited to offer, purchase or sell Jars products in order to sell them outside our networks.

The logos, photos, images, illustrations, comments, recipes and everything presented on our website are protected according to the intellectual property code. Any partial or total reproduction of the website is strictly prohibited.

Jars, for all the steps of a sale on its marketing website, only has an obligation of means. Jars is not liable for any changes to the proper operation of the website caused by the internet, especially a service break, an external intrusion or the presence of computer viruses, or any event of force majeure, according to jurisprudence.

Jars reserves the right to change these general sales terms and conditions at any time, those applicable being those in force at the time of issuing the order.

Jars only collects from customers data that is essential to the proper performance of the sale and delivery. This data is protected by secured access. Jars undertakes not to transmit it to a third-party without the customer's prior authorisation.
In accordance with the law "Informatique et Liberté" of 6 January 1978, you may at any time exercise your right of access, correction or deletion relative to this data by contacting us using our form.

The electronic registers held by Jars will be considered by the parties as proof of the communications, orders, payments and transactions intervening between the parties.

These general sales terms and conditions are subject to French law. In the event of dispute, and having attempted to find an amicable solution, only the French courts will have jurisdiction. The customer has the possibility to request a mediator :
