Gault & Millau

Report on the factory by the Gault & Milau magazine teams. “Located in Anneyron, in the Drôme region, the Jars factory has been crafting glazed stoneware ceramics since 1857. Glazes and stoneware paste are made on site from locally sourced earth and natural materials, and each creation is entirely handmade. Jars, which cultivates the element of chance that makes each object unique, distinguishes itself with pieces of great creative freedom with unique textures and vibrant colors. The factory has created custom pieces for prestigious restaurants, such as a service for Arnaud Donckele at the Tout-Paris restaurant at Cheval Blanc Paris (2 C&M toques). Their pieces don't just serve, they tell a story, an emotion enriching each dish with a unique artistic dimension and sharing.” Discover the full article in the September-October issue.
